Not just one question.
We carry many questions about ourselves — who we are, why we react the way we do, what we fear, what we want, and why certain patterns keep returning.
But maybe those questions aren't separate. Maybe they trace back to one deeper, unresolved question — the question beneath — from which the others first began.
What we believe
The obvious question is rarely the whole story. Behind it there's usually something quieter, older, and more personal — and that's the part worth reaching.
How we do it
We're not here to act as gurus or hand out universal answers. Everyone's path is different. We explore the questions that help uncover what's real for you.
Advice that tries to answer life's big questions has to generalise — and generalised answers are hard to live by, because no two paths are the same. A good question does the opposite. It unearths what sits beneath the surface, for one person at a time.
Two friends, two starting points.
We come at this from very different backgrounds — and that gap is the point. Where one of us sees a closed question, the other often hears an open one.
A short bio goes here — where Emmanuel comes from, and the question he keeps coming back to.
My family broke apart in my parents' messy divorce when I was young, and over the years my faith has drifted from organised religion toward something more spiritual and my own. Then last year a bone-deep burnout forced me to look inward for the first time — to be vulnerable, and to notice the good as readily as I'd brace for the worst. The question I keep carrying: why is it so hard to be honest with ourselves?
One question, followed all the way down.
Each series opens with an obvious question and follows it to the deeper one underneath. Series 1 begins with a launch special, then a new episode every week.
Why Don't We Trust The Mirror?
Ten conversations on self-perception, identity, vulnerability, love, and the stories we carry about who we are.
Most of us are surrounded by mirrors — friends, partners, family, achievements, compliments, criticism — yet we struggle to believe the good reflections. This series asks what might change if the people who love us are right about us.
The drop A launch special opens the series, then one new episode every week.
Help us keep asking.
If these conversations resonate, you can help us keep making the time and space to ask better, deeper, more human questions.
